Dear Families,

Thanks so much for being so faithful in signing planners. The class has been so responsible in this area.

Don’t forget, next Monday is our Labor Day vacation and Tuesday is an inservice day.

We have gotten busy this week in our core subjects. I’m sending a summary of our math unit in the Tuesday packet, so be sure to check it out. During the Language Arts block, we’ve been reading a selection in the Realistic Fiction Genre. Our Working With Words unit is really the way in which we practice spelling and usage of words and "rules". You should see lots of practice with writing creative sentences. Everyday at 3:30 is Writers Workshop. Be sure to ask your child what they would do if they were rich for a day. This is our first Writing Process piece. I think they’ve had fun dreaming!
